We Are Getting More And More Lost

We are getting more and more individualism. We look the other way. We are unsupportive. We do not care about the history of others, the pain of others. We use empathy less and less. Let’s do our thing.

We are more and more alone.
More isolated.
We have more and more information.
But we know much less.

Every time we find it harder to see each other.
It costs us more to stay.
It costs us more to be in the same place at the same time.

We are increasingly connected to a network.
But more disconnected from ourselves.
More pending to comment than to listen.
Fighting to win in a dialectical battle.
Without trying to understand the other.

Every time we believe that what we think is important.
And we get angry over nonsense.
We block, we silence, we put aside everything that bothers us.

We do not want to debate.
We don’t want to learn anything.
We don’t want to grow.

We are increasingly lazy to call.
We don’t pick up the phone.
We solve everything with an emoticon.
With a happy birthday.
And we have already fulfilled.

Individualism is getting stronger every day.
We look the other way.
We are unsupportive.
We do not care about the history of others, the pain of others.

We use empathy less and less.
Let’s do our thing.
And ours is never, ever, that of others.
We care less and less about people.

We only care about our bodies.
Our stability.
Our leisure, our money, our life.

Every time we are a little worse.
A little less human.
A little more uncivilized.

Every time we normalize barbarism more and more.
As long as it doesn’t happen to us.
Because it does affect us.
So we do complain.

Every time we are leaving a sadder world.
More lacking in truth.
A foggy future.

We are getting more and more lost.
And we have to get together.
To remember where our planet was.
Where was our home.
