Our Lives Are Going By … Watching It Go By

Our lives are going by. Without being able to live it. Scratching the damn parné for days. Leaving for tomorrow what we could be doing today. Naively believing that if we keep doing the same, something will change.

Life is going away.
While we are leaving life for later.
Always waiting for the time to have time.

Time to do what fulfills us.
Time to share with those we love.
Time to know other places.
Time to read other stories.

Our lives are going away. Without being able to live it.

Scratching the damn parné for days.
Leaving for tomorrow what we could be doing today.
Naively believing that if we keep doing the same, something will change.
It will not.

The only thing that will happen is that what you wanted will disappear.
Or you will.
And you will not be able to do anything.

Life is going away.
Believing that we will be forever.
Spending all the opportunities to be more free.
To love better.

Our lives are running out and we don’t even realize it.
We get used to this existence.
We stop being surprised by the light, the air and the breath.
We take everything for granted.

Our lives are going by living a drill. Longing. Doing just the opposite of what we feel.

Making excuses.
Being other people that we are not.
Appearing.
When there is no other possibility to be you.

Life is going away.
Never to return.
Because the only certainty is that we will not return.
That what remains in the inkwell there will dry up.

Life is going away.
Dying of fear.
When the only thing that one dies is death.
And nothing else.

Our lives are running away.
When the only thing to do with life.
It is looking at her head on.
To know her for what she simply is.
