6 Recipes To Enjoy Strawberries Like Never Before

We are still in season for strawberries, those sweet and colorful fruits that you like so much. Why don’t we take advantage of them to prepare delicious recipes?

Strawberries with milk

We have commercial vegan whipped creams in spray (soy, rice or coconut), in bricks to assemble (they are assembled the same as normal cream), or we can use coconut cream, which are the solids that remain on top of the cans of coconut milk when we leave them in the fridge for a few hours (mount only the solids, no liquid).

Strawberries with chocolate

The chocolate strawberries can be a good dessert using chocolates over the 75% cocoa (cocoa more, less sugar). To do them you only need:

  • Strawberries (whatever you want)
  • Dairy-free chocolate (more than 75% cocoa), at least half a tablet.

Preparation

  1. Chop the chocolate and put it in a saucepan in a bain-marie, over low heat, stirring so that everything melts quickly.
  2. Pass the cleaned strawberries through the melted chocolate, and place them on a tray with parchment paper.
  3. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it in a closed container.
  4. With this same method you can bathe mandarin segments, apple pieces or other fruits that you like.

Strawberry jam

Making jam is not very laborious, and less if we have good ingredients that facilitate the process.

To make a good strawberry jam without sugar we will need:

  • 1 kg of strawberries or ripe strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • The skin of ½ lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup of water

Preparation

  1. First let soak chia seeds in water, preferably overnight. With this we will have a gel base that replaces pectin and sugar.
  2. Wash and cut the strawberries into small pieces and put them in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the lemon juice and the zest.
  3. When they start to heat up, lower the heat a little and stir constantly.
  4. When they begin to fall apart, add the chia seed gel and stir everything very well.
  5. Let it simmer for a few minutes until it is the consistency you want. Remove the lemon peel and let it cool.

Strawberry sauce

A good strawberry sauce is used to decorate desserts, to fill cakes or sweet empanadas, or to put on toast.

To make a strawberry sauce in just 20 minutes you will need :

  • 1kg of strawberries or ripe strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or tapioca
  • 1 cup of water

Preparation

  1. Wash the strawberries and chop them into small pieces.
  2. Put them in a saucepan over medium-high heat with the water and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat a little and stir from time to time.
  3. When it has boiled for 5 minutes, mix the cornstarch with half a glass of water and add it to the strawberries.
  4. Stir quickly and when it begins to be soft and gelatinous, remove it from the heat and let it cool.

Strawberry frozen yogurt

For a very creamy strawberry-flavored ice cream you will need only two ingredients:

  • Half a kg of strawberries or strawberries
  • 2 soy yogurts (preferably unsweetened)

Preparation

  1. Drain the yogurts by pouring them into a muslin, closing it and hanging it, for example, from the kitchen tap. You can squeeze it a little bit to speed up the process.
  2. Wash the strawberries, discard the leaves and beat the strawberries with the blender until crushed. It is not necessary to have a perfect cream.
  3. Mix in a container to freeze the strawberries with the drained yogurt and freeze it for at least 4 hours, stirring it every hour so that large water crystals do not form.
  4. You can also put it directly in an ice cream machine and consume at the moment.
